Morpydus hadde sones fyue,
& alle þey leftym byhinde alyue.
Gorbodyan, fairest of flour,
& Argayl, & sire Elydour,
Iugenes, & sire Perodour,
Alle fyue were kynges of honur.
Gorbodian was flour & pris,
He was trewe, feyghtful, & wys;
Neuere kyng wyþ so mykel loue
Ouer no lond regned aboue,
Neuere louede he no lye,
No dide men wrong, lowe ne heye.
He was kyng ful mesurable,
To don alle right he was ful stable;
Loue & pes his tyme was ryf;
