RECENT MEETINGS OF THE SOCIETY

Mr. D. F. McKenzie of Victoria University, New Zealand, addressed the Society, December 14, 1965, on "The Cambridge University Press 1696-1712, its Records, and Their Implications."

Mr. Gordan N. Ray, President of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and President of the Grolier Club addressed the Society on "Victorian Society and the Victorian Novel" on Wednesday, April 20, 1966.

A small exhibition of manuscripts from the Library's special collections of American history and literature was arranged for the visit of delegates to the International Congress of Archives. This was jointly sponsored by the Society and the University of Virginia Library. May 14, 1966.

Sir David Evans, former Keeper of the Public Records, and Mr. Peter Walne, County Archivist of Hertfordshire, were honored at a tea given by the Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia Library on May 15, 1966.

A Business meeting of the Society was held on June 16, 1966 at the University of Virginia Library.
