Dear Mr. Joyce
Thanks for your letter of the 13th. A second dozen books were
dispatched to you early in the week and I hope will reach you safely. I
received the enclosed letter from Mr. Huebsch at the beginning of this week
but the original letter he speaks of, with the enclosures, has not yet come.
Perhaps it will come by next week's mail; if it does I will send on the
reviews to you. If it does not arrive at all I will ask Mr. Huebsch to send
fresh copies. I have received no press notices this week. Most of the papers
are devoting very little space to book reviews now and I fancy that many
of them judge a book by the publisher rather than by its contents and
scarcely trouble to look at a book that is not published by a well known
firm. It will have to make its way gradually now I expect.
I hope that you are better this week and your eyes are out of danger.
| With kind regards | Yours sincerely
