SUPPLEMENT TO THE BIBLIOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY OF THE
UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA: THE FIRST FIFTY YEARS
by

ELIZABETH K. LYNCH AND ANNE G. RIBBLE

The publication of volume 60 of Studies in Bibliography provides an appropriate
occasion for bringing up to date the record of the Society's activities that
appeared in its fiftieth-anniversary history in 1998 (item 1998. 2 below). While
the nature of the sections is self-evident, the essays that accompany the original
listing provide useful context for understanding the undertakings and accom-
plishments identified here. The first four essays in the book were also published
in SB 50 (1997), 1–212.
