ELECTION OF LIBRARIANS TO FACULTY

The President proposed and the Board adopted the following resolution

RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that
the following members of the library staffs of the University be and they are hereby elected to the
General Faculty, without change in salary or benefits, to be listed in appropriate faculty sections
of University catalogues by the title of the library position only

Miss Louise Savage, Associate Librarian and Acquisitions Librarian, to rank as a professor,
effective 1 July 1963.

Mr. Francis L. Berkeley, Jr., Associate Librarian, University Archivist, and Curator of
Manuscripts, to rank as a professor, effective 1 July 1963.

Miss Frances Farmer, Law Librarian, to rank as an associate professor, effective 1 July 1963.

Miss Roy Land, Circulation Librarian, to rank as an associate professor, effective 1 July 1963.

Mr. N. Harvey Deal, Reference Librarian, to rank as an assistant professor, for three years,
effective 1 July 1963.

Mr. Roger P. Bristol, Coordinator of Departmental Libraries, to rank as an assistant professor,
for three years, effective 1 July 1963

Mr. William H. Runge, Curator of Rare Books, to rank as an assistant professor, for three years,
effective 1 July 1963.
