ELECTION OF MESSRS. CASH, HOUSE, SMITH, AND YOE AS PROFESSORS EMERITI
The President proposed and the Board adopted the following resolution
RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that
the following faculty members be and they are hereby elected Professors Emeriti
Dr. James R. Cash, Walter Reed Professor of Pathology, who retires in June 1963, and has been
on the staff of the University since September 1931
Mr. Floyd N. House, Professor of Sociology and Anthropology, who retires in June 1963, and has
been on the staff of the University since September 1926.
Mr. Charles W. Smith, Professor of Art, who retires in June 1963, and has been on the staff of
the University since September 1948
Mr. John H. Yoe, Professor of Chemistry, who retires in June 1963, and has been on the staff of
the University since September 1919
