ADDITION OF MEDICAL COLLEGE OF VIRGINIA AS A MEMBER OF VIRGINIA
ASSOCIATED RESEARCH CENTER

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 604, Acts of Assembly, 1962, as amended by Chapter 705, Acts of Assembly, 1966, the Joint Agreement between The College of William and Mary in Virginia, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute bearing date of 1 July 1962, for the operation and management of a space radiation effects laboratory be amended to include the Medical College of Virginia as a party thereto and that the Amendment to the Joint Agreement of 1 July 1962, making the Medical College of Virginia a party thereto, under the terms and conditions therein set out, in the form submitted to this meeting, and bearing date of 1 October 1966, be, and the same hereby is, approved and consented to; and
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President or Comptroller of the University of Virginia be, and either of them is hereby, authorized, empowered, and designated to execute said Amendment to the Joint Agreement of 1 July 1962, bearing date of 1 October 1966, in the name and on behalf of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia, and that the Secretary or Assistant Secretary of this Board be, and either of them is hereby, authorized, empowered, and designated to affix the corporate seal of this institution thereto and to attest the same; and
• BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Rector be and he is hereby authorized, empowered, and designated, as a committee of one of this Board, in conjunction with the governing bodies of The College of William and Mary in Virginia, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and the Medical College of Virginia, or duly authorized committees of such governing bodies, to negotiate and execute an amendment to the existing contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for the operation and management of such space radiation effects laboratory, in conformity with the terms and conditions of said Joint Agreement of 1 July 1962, as amended, and that the Secretary or Assistant Secretary of this Board be, and either of them is hereby, authorized, empowered, and designated to affix the corporate seal of this institution to such amendment to said contract and to attest the same.
