HELEN GRAYSON JONES HOXTON SCHOLARSHIP

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the gift from Mr. Llewellyn G. Hoxton, Professor Emeritus of Physics, of 50 shares of General Motors Corporation Common Stock and $1,500 in cash, to establish a scholarship to be known as the "Helen Grayson Jones Hoxton Scholarship" be gratefully accepted, subject to the terms of the Indenture of Trust executed by Mr. Hoxton on 1 September 1965; and,
• RESOLVED further that in transmitting the text of this resolution and the appreciation of the University to Mr. Hoxton, the Secretary shall convey also the gratification of the Visitors, both corporately and personally, for a gift that perpetuates the happy association of the University of Virginia with the Hoxton family, and fittingly commemorates the beneficent influence of Professor and Mrs. Llewellyn G. Hoxton upon the University through his dedicated and inspiring teaching and in a personal association over many years.
