CONJUGAL COMPLIMENTS AFTER A SQUALL AT SEA.

In crossing the Channel from Calais to Dover,
We scarcely had weather'd the Storm,
When a fond happy Pair, now the Danger was over,
Saw Fish round the Brigantine swarm;
“Those are Gluttons and Epicures, Nancy,” cry'd Ned,
“And as I am as fat as you're fair,
“Had our Fate been to sleep in a watery Bed,
“We a Banquet for both had been there.”
Said Nancy, “No Doubt, and I think you'll agree,
“That, as all Things their Object pursue,
“The Epicures all had been nibbling at me,
“While the Gluttons were gorging on you.”
