REPORT OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE UNIVERSITY

The Chairman of the Special Committee on the Organization of the University, William A. Hobbs, reported on the successful efforts of the Committee to obtain the services of a consultant for the study of the University's organization. He stated that Mr. Henry T. Mr. Heald, in a letter dated May 24, 1966, had presented a proposal for the study of the University's organization and the Committee and the President were therefore recommending to the full Board that Mr. Heald's firm be employed.

After discussion, the following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the President be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Mr. Henry T. Heald of the firm of Heald, Hobson and Associates for a study of the University's organization along the lines stated by Mr. Heald in his letter to the President dated 24 May 1966.
