Whil ogger, þat douȝti kniȝt,
Aȝenes sarazins stod in fiȝt,
Oppon a stede Clarel come driue,
Þat ogger halp to sauen o liue,

Þorou cunseil of roulond & oliuer.
& a non he knuȝ ogger,
“Ogger,” he seide, “hit is my red,
