King garsie seide þis,
“For his loue þat ȝoure good is,
Takeþ me on liue, & sle me nouȝt.
Leet mi lif be for-bouȝt,
& let me as a prisoun goon
Bi-fore king charles a noon,
& don him omage wiþ myn hon[d],
