REPORT OF THE HOSPITAL ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE

The following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the Hospital Accounts Committee be and it is hereby authorized to write off as bad debts and free service accounts listed on University of Virginia Hospital schedule numbers 392 through 400 for the months of November, December 1980, and January, 1981, totaling $3,280,361.13, and Blue Ridge Hospital Division schedule numbers 452 through 454 for the months of December, 1980 and January 1981 totaling $298,227.45 consisting of the following:
          

University of Virginia Hospital:
Bad Debts	$1,038,049.23
Free Service to Counties & Cities	$2,242,311.90
		--------------
	Total	$3,280,361.13
Blue Ridge Hospital Division:
Free Service to Counties & Cities	$294,755.85
Free Service for Medically Indigent Acute Inpatients	3,471.60
		--------------
	Total	$298,227.45

• RESOLVED FURTHER, that the above action shall not be a compromise, settlement or discharge of the debts represented by such accounts.
