BURSAR TO ACT IN COMPTROLLER'S ABSENCE
Referring to Mr. Vincent Shea's forthcoming voyage to Chile as a civilian
guest of the Secretary of the Navy to observe the NROTC Midshipmen's summer
training, President Darden requested authority for the Bursar, Mr. David B. Moyer,
to sign checks and perform other functions of the Comptroller during Mr. Shea's
absence.
The Board adopted the following resolution:
RESOLVED, that between June 15, 1957 and August 15, 1957 the Bursar as well as
the Comptroller be authorized to sign checks disbursing the funds of the University,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Bursar shall perform such other duties as may
be assigned him by the President or the Comptroller.
