PROPOSED EASEMENT FOR IMPROVING STATE ROUTE 729 NEAR UNIVERSITY AIRPORT

The President proposed the amendment and reenactment of a resolution adopted by the Board on 9 April 1965 granting an easement to the State Highway Department to permit the improvement of State Secondary Highway 729 that provides access to the University Airport. The change is to enlarge the easement from one-half acre to approximately one acre.

The following resolution was therefore adopted:

• RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the President is hereby authorized and empowered to execute, in the name and on behalf of the Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia, after review and approval by Special Counsel, such grants of easement or right-of-way over lands of the University of Virginia, of approximately one acre, as are necessary to enable the State Highway Department to improve State Route 729 in Albemarle County near Milton.
• RESOLVED further that the Secretary be and he is hereby authorized and empowered to affix the corporate seal of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia to any such grant of easement or right-of-way and to attest the same.
