8 Ver.
When youthfull Spring the Earth in green hath drest,When Trees with Leaves and Blossoms them re-vest;
Their Flowers (white, red, blew, yellow)
Betoken Fruit to follow.
But, Worldlings, though they flourish in their Prime,
Nor bud, nor bear, nor bring-forth Fruit, in time:
Their Health, Wealth, Wit, mis-wasted,
Are but as Blossoms blasted.
