Details For Summer Session Completed;
Pre- Registration To Begin In Early May

By CINDI STUART

Students may pre-register
for summer session courses
from Monday, May 7 until
Friday, May 18, except
Saturday, from 10 a.m. to
noon and 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Individuals who cannot
preregister at these times must
delay registration until June
18-19.

Students currently enrolled
for resident study who expect
to attend summer session
should file an "Intent to
Register" card by April 26 so
that registration materials can
be available on May 7.

Failure to do so will result
in a delay of registration until
the beginning of the summer
session. Students not currently
enrolled who have applied and
been accepted for the 1973
summer session may also
preregister in accordance with
this schedule.

Registration Packets

During the pre-registration
period, students will pick up
their registration packets and
Schedule of Classes Directory
from the Dean's office in the
school in which they are
enrolled, and will fill out the
cards for program approval.

Unclassified and visiting
graduate students will pick up
materials and fill out cards in
the summer session office in
Garrett Hall. All cards must be
returned to the office where
fees will be paid and course
cards pulled.

Graduate Arts and Science
students should report to the
graduate school office, 438
Cabell Hall, during the first
week only, May 7 through May
11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and
2 to 3 p.m.

Engineering students should
report to Room A122
Thornton Hall during the same
week from 10 a.m. to noon
and 2 to 4 p.m.

Graduate students planning
to work on theses or
dissertations only must register
and have the schedule card
approved at their dean's office.

Degree Applicants

All August degree
applicants must be registered in
the summer session regardless
of whether they will be taking
any courses, and should
complete registration prior to
May 18.

Students who wish to
complete their registration in
advance by paying all fees or
clearing with the treasurer need
not return to the University
until the first day of classes.

Nine-Week Session

The regular nine-week
summer session will run from
June 18 to August 18. This will
include individual courses
extending for three, four and
one-half, five, six, or nine
weeks. Final exercises will be
held on Saturday, August 18,
in University Hall.

Copies of the Summer
Session catalog will be available
after April 1.
