MOTIONS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSIONS
- The following motions were unanimously adopted by vote of all Visitors present:
- (a) That the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session for discussion and consideration of the appointment and assignment of public officers and appointees of the University of Virginia, and for the discussion of legal matters that are within the University's jurisdiction.
- (b) That the Finance Committee of the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session for discussion and consideration of the condition, acquisition or use of real property for public purposes, the discussion of the investment of public funds and the discussion and evaluation of the performance of University departments.
- (c) That the Health Affairs Committee of the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session for the discussion of appointments and assignment of public employees and the evaluation of departments.
- (d) That the Educational Policy Committee of the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session for the discussion of a legal matter which is within the University's jurisdiction, and for the purpose of discussion and consideration of personnel matters involving appointment, assignment, promotion, salaries and assignment of public employees.
- (e) That the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the Board of Visitors go into Executive Session for the discussion of investing public funds where competition and bargaining is involved, where if made public initially the University's financial interest would be adversely affected.
Following a recess for an Executive Session of the Board of Visitors, the Open Meeting continued at 9:46 a.m.
