  RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following persons be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
• Mr. Paul M. Dee, Associate Professor of Radiology, for the period June 1, 1980, through July 31, 1980, to accept a Visiting Professorship in Norway.

• Mr. Peter L. Heath, Professor of Philosophy, for the period September 1, 1980, through January 15, 1981, to accept a Visiting Professorship at the University of Western Australia.
• Mr. Gordon E. Latta, Professor of Applied Mathematics, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1980, to continue as Visiting Chair Professor at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California.
• Mr. Charles L. Perdue, Jr., Associate Professor of Anthropology and English, for one semester, effective January 16, 1980, to do research.
• Mr. G. Carleton Ray, Research Professor of Environmental Sciences, for the period January 1, 1980, through May 31, 1980, to conduct off-Grounds research.
• Mrs. Nora W. Shattuck, Lecturer in Drama, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1980, to study in Europe.
• Mr. Alan J. Simmons, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, for the period January 16, 1981, through May 31, 1981, to accept an NEH Fellowship.
• Dr. Edward M. W. Stuart, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Roanoke Program, for the period October 1, 1979, through June 30, 1980, because of illness.
• Ms. Renate Voris, Assistant Professor of German, for one semester, effective January 16, 1980, for medical reasons.
