AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT AND DEED OF RELEASE BETWEEN
THE UNIVERSITY, THE ALUMNI BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY
OF VIRGINIA ENDOWMENT FUND AND THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The President reported that the Alumni Association of the University of Virginia plans to expand the building known as "Alumni Hall" and to use a portion of the 148-foot lot previously conveyed by the University to the Association. The Association has asked that the University release and modify certain restrictions and rights applicable to that lot, and to the adjoining property on which Alumni Hall stands, to enable the construction to proceed.
- The following resolution was adopted:
- RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the proper officers be, and they hereby are, authorized to execute and deliver the Agreement and Deed of Release between the University and the Alumni Board of Trustees of the University of Virginia Endowment Fund and the Alumni Association of the University of Virginia, a copy of which was exhibited to the meeting, to permit the expansion of the building owned by the Alumni Association of the University of Virginia, known as "Alumni Hall".
