• The following retirements were announced:
• Mr. Richard L. Beard, Professor of Education, effective May 31, 1980.He has been a member of the faculty since 1957.
• Mr. Lester G. Crocker, Kenan Professor of French, effective May 31, 1980.He has been a member of the faculty since 1971.
• Mr. John D. Forbes, Professor of Business History, The Darden School, effective May 31, 1980.He has been a member of the faculty since 1954.
• Mr. Everard W. Meade, Lecturer, Graduate School of Business Administration, effective May 31, 1980.He has been a member of the faculty since 1955.
• Mr. Paul B. Walter, Professor of Education, effective May 31, 1980.He has been a member of the faculty since 1958.
