REPORT ON ADMINISTRATIVE REORGANIZATION

The President reported that in order to enhance the efficient administrative organization of the University, he has made these major changes:

1. The creation of the position Executive Vice-President, now held by Mr. Avery Catlin. The Executive Vice-President is physically located in Pavilion VIII, and he maintains a day-to-day knowledge of all of the activities of the Presiden Office, and he will serve as Acting President during periods when the President is away from his office.

2. Placing under a single Vice-President both physical and academic planning. The Executive Vice-President is administratively responsible for both of these functions.

3. Placing under a single Vice-President all activities of the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the University Hospital, and the Medical Center generally. The Vice-President for Health Sciences is administratively responsible for all of these.
