RESOLUTION OF THANKS TO THE RECTOR AND THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE

On the motion of Visitor Robert Buford, and duly seconded, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote:

• RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the sincere thanks of the Board of Visitors be expressed to our Rector, Mr. McConnell, and to our fellow Visitors, Mr. Barrett, Dr. Harrison, Mr. Harrison, Mr. Lewis, Mr. Potter, and Mr. Santarelli for the superior work they have done incident to making a nomination for the high office of President of the University of Virginia. We particularly appreciate the contributions of the faculty and student committees and for the excellent reports they provided for the use of the Special Committee. We also express appreciation and thanks to Mr. Weldon Cooper for his distinguished work as Secretary of the Committee.
