ESTABLISHMENT OF THE SYDNEY F. SMALL SCHOLARSHIPS

Sydney F. Small, a dedicated trustee of the University of Virginia Graduate Business School Sponsors, passed away at the age of 79 on March 24, 1973, leaving in his Will approximately $500,000 to be added to the endowment funds of the University, the income to be used for fellowships for students in the Graduate School of Business Administration.

The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the Sydney F. Small Fellowships in the Graduate School of Business Administration be and they are hereby established for students in the Graduate School of Business Administration to be awarded in accordance with the standing University policies governing such awards.
