RENAMING BROOKS MUSEUM THE LEWIS BROOKS HALL

The structure housing the Department of Environmental Science has been known for many years as Brooks Museum. It served as a museum over much of the last century. The last vestige of the museum disappeared in the Fall of 1972 making the name "Brooks Museum" obsolete.

The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the structure northeast of the Rotunda previously known as the Brooks Museum be and it is hereby renamed the Lewis Brooks Hall.
