INCREASE IN TUITION FOR THE SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

The President explained that the tuition rates in the School of Medicine at the University are considerably lower than those at the Medical College of Virginia. It was proposed that the tuition charges at the University be increased. The President also explained that the increment being sought would be the first step toward bringing the tuition charges up to the level of those collected by the Medical College of Virginia. Mr. Potter requested that the matter of a further increase in tuition be placed on the June Docket so that if approved, it can appear in the catalogue at an early date.

The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the tuition charge for the School of Medicine be and it is hereby increased, effective September 1, 1971, as shown below:
  •
    Current 1970-71  Proposed 1971-72
