GRANT FOR MEDICAL EDUCATION BUILDING

The President requested that consent be given to the consideration of a resolution authorizing the University of Virginia to apply for a Federal grant for the Medical Education Building, a resolution which had not been included on the docket for this meeting. Without dissent permission for consideration was given and the following resolution was adopted:

• RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the President or Comptroller be, and either of them is hereby authorized to apply to the Department of Health, Education and Welfare for a grant under Title VII of Public Law 89-290 and 89-115 (Public Health Service Act) of approximately $4,000,000 to be used for the construction of the Medical Education Building.
