LINES. (FROM AN UNPUBLISHED POEM.)
She comes!—she comes!—with her hair of lightBound round a forehead almost as bright
With her flashing smiles—yet though flashing—soft
That seem a deep Soul on their wings to waft
With her kindling blushes—her lovely mien—
The Star and the Spirit of the scene!—
With her silvery voice and her zephir step,
With her clear bright cheek and her laughing lip!—
And the Graces with her for ever come—
What a Paradise doth she make of home!
She comes!—she comes!—and all things appear
Bright as herself, when she draws near!
