SONG.
[Woman's an Obsequious Creature]
I
Woman's an Obsequious Creature,Fashion'd to comply by Nature;
Her Virtue's hum'rously inclin'd,
Now fondly peevish, now perversly kind.
II
Strong in Desire, in Honour weak,She's brittle Ware, and soon will break;
The coyest Danae has no Pow'r,
When young Jove storms Her in a Golden Show'r.
