Lov.]I Love.—Yet scorn in Fetters bound
Mist.]
To drag my servile Chain.
Who shun the Toils of being Crown'd,
Refuse the Means to Reign.

Lovers by Servitude are great,From Us all Pow'r You have.
The King that does with Subjects treat,
Becomes His Peoples Slave.

A Monarch, ev'n in Love, is free;And claims unbounded Sway.
But Kings, abusing Liberty,
Make Subjects disobey.
Lov.]
Then let Us jointly thus embrace,
Mist.]
And revel in Delight:
Lov.]
So shall You reign all Day in Peace,
And You in Love all Night.
