With courage bold, against the Greekes to fight;
With naked Sword they marched, and their Shield
Devoide of charge, saue only painted white:
Herein the Captaine with his hand did write,
(The Battaile done,) some Ensigne of his fame,
Who had by valour, best deseru'd the same.
