Ad Iesum Christum opt: Max
The sillie Lambe, on Altar lieth bound,
Prepared readie, for the Sacrifice,
Who willingly awaites his mortall wound,
Without resistance, or helpe calling cries,
To mooue the tender hearted to relent,
Or heauens to heare a dieng Innocent.

Or heauens to heare a dieng Innocent.
Thou art (deere Lord) this Lambe, who for our guilt,
Forsook'st the Throne, of highest Maiestie,
And gau'st thy blood, for sinners to be spilt,
Frend to thy foes, high in humilitie:
And is this creature innocent, and dumbe,
Till Lion-like, thou shalt to Iudgment come.
