Fortuna maior.
Heere Povertie, doth conquered Fortune bind,
And vnder keepes, like HERCVLES in aw,
The meaning is, the wise and valiant mind,
In Povertie esteemes not Fate a straw:
And though a while this angry Goddesse frowne,
She vtterlie shall never cast him downe.
