INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS
The President stated that, on the preceding evening, he had met with the Athletics Committee
to report on the present status of the intercollegiate athletic program. He noted that the new
coach, Mr. William Elias, who had appeared before the Committee, had been successful in renewing
the interest of the students, players, and alumni in the football program and that the performance
of the football squad at the recent alumni game had been very good. He concluded his remarks by
noting that the Special Committee was continuing its search for a new athletic director.
