RESOLUTION FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PARTICIPATE IN
COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA 9-C BOND ISSUE
- WHEREAS, the Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia adopted a resolution on May 24, 1991 (the "Resolution") requesting the Treasury Board of the Commonwealth of Virginia to sell and issue bonds for a parking facility (Capital Outlay Project Number 14638) (the "Project") pursuant to the Commonwealth of Virginia Higher Educational Institutions Bond Act of 1991 (the "1991 Act");
- WHEREAS, the 1991 Act has been or will be repealed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Higher Educational Institutions Bond Act of 1992 (the "1992 Act"), which includes the Project as a revenue-producing capital project for which bonds are authorized to be issued; and
- WHEREAS, the 1992 Act similarly may be repealed but the Project continued as an authorized project for bond financing through subsequent legislation;
- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE RECTOR AND VISITORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA:
- 1. The definition of "Act" in the Resolution is amended to include the 1992 Act and any other act that includes the Project as a revenue-producing capital project for which bonds may be issued.
- 2. Except as amended hereby, the Resolution is ratified and confirmed.
- 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
