IS'VARA:

SANSKRIT word meaning LORD which is used to refer to GOD as the SUPREME personal BEING and is frequently used in BHAKTI. Usually the Lord is identified with VISHNU, iva or BRAHMAN or even all three together. The Lord is thought of as the creator of the world and often as its destroyer.
