In a story which appeared in
yesterday's issue of The Cavalier
Daily giving events to be held at
the Prism Coffee House this
weekend, there were several inaccuracies,
according to Bruce
Rosenberg, Asst. Professor of
English at the University.
The Virginia Folklore Guild
is open to "students, faculty,
and townspeople", or "anyone
interested in the entire range of
folklore and folklife," according
to Mr. Rosenberg.
He said that he started the
group because a number of his
students requested it. The story
in yesterday's Cavalier Daily implied
that the group would be
primarily for non-students.
Mr. Rosenberg said that this
was not true, and that students
will have "an important role in
running it."
The Virginia Folklore Guild
will hold its organizational
meeting at 3 p.m. on Sunday, at
the Prism.
The Cavalier Daily apologizes
for any misunderstanding
caused by this article.
