The Redeemed
I bear the prints of my ascended Lord,Ye cannot part me now, for I am pure;
And hear, forever hear his holy word,
And shall forever in the Truth endure;
Behold the love the Father hath for me,
That He should call his son a child of earth;
And from the guilt of sin forever free,
And bid me know in Him a purer birth;
Come, worship with me on the holy hill,
Come, be a brother with a brother's love;
He will our hearts with deeper rapture fill,
162
And in our midst, though here, our Lord shall be,
And we, while here on earth, his face shall see.
