ARCHITECTS FOR NEW CHEMISTRY BUILDING

The President noted that he had discussed the matter of the architects for the new Chemistry
Building with the Buildings and Grounds Committee at an earlier meeting of that Committee on 25
March 1961. With the approval of the Buildings and Grounds Committee, the President proposed and
the Board adopted the following resolution

RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia
that Mr. Louis Kahn and Stainback and Scribner be and they are hereby approved as the Associated
Architects for the new Chemistry Building.
