失我焉支山。令我婦女無顏色。失我祁連山。
使我六畜不蕃息。
使我六畜不蕃息。
Two folk songs sung by the Xiong Nu tribe concerning their loss of two mountainous areas to the Han empire. The words are: Losing the Yan Zhi mountain left our
women to have no lipsticks to use (there were certain plants used as the material for lipsticks in that mountain). Losing Qi Lian mountain left us with no good place
for animal grazing.
