[Epilogue.]

1. Syluan
Mue now thy feathers tyme and stay
the cold wett moneths are past and may
with her flora who adornd
The yeares with bewtie are returnd
fluttering winters flaky raine
's fled and melted, grass againe
on the mead doth growe and die
it,—into a fresh green liuery
whereupon for lace youl see
The Cowslipps in Embrodery
And the woods soe bald that weere
put on againe their leauy hayre
Nor is there ere a bough or twigg
that hath not on his perriwigg
Euery bank was drownd with wet
now's crowned with violett
The primrose and the daffadill
be-iewell yonder playne and hill
and the feilds plough laboured
of the hynds cropps are brought a bed
Birds and beasts and euery thinge
Reioyce at this new chaunge and singe
Tother was winter but this is the springe

2. Syluan
Rouse vp thy selfe fond swayne awake
lett noe more cold feare the shake
but againe thy pipes embrace
Tyme hath turnd thy woe to grace
and securd to euery one
freely to enioy there owne

134

Noe condition sex or yeares
but are cured of all feares
And sithence shee their bond vnties
with the season simpothize
Bud and blosome thankes good store
vnto those this did restore
wherby they liue, were nipt to death before

3. Syluan
Smile happie Iland chang thy brow
Cynthia's pleasd and likes thee now
all thy Meteors and damp crew
are reformd and Shapt anew
Now noe aspects doe appeare
but being to crowne thy Spheare
others are sett for to disease
The temper of th'Antipodes
or being but exhalde they shon
but for a moment, Shot, are gon;
Noe tempestious storme or winde
to thy fabrick proues vnkinde
But soft Zephyrs in their roome
Fan thee an Elizium
Soe that if thou clipp tymes wing
that her reuolutians bring
noe more of those malignant fires
but each hath his full desires

Then may we blesse our Goddess and commend
those handes of Art thes Halcion dayes resend
wherein peace shalbe Laureat, iarrs haue end.
