A PASTORAL.

The west-wind breathes soft o'er the vale,
No noise, but the neighbouring mill,
Can the ear of sad Silence assail.

Dim-twinkling yon vapour behind,
Or sheeting the cloud, with soft light.

V

And listens to Fancy's fond tale,
No noise, but the neighbouring mill,
Can the ear of sad Silence assail!
