[Here we've wander'd some few hours]

[The metal sleeps in its hidden vein]

[We count men subject to mortality]

[If I must die when all is said and done]

[If we saw these things clear, what then?]

[A skeleton typifies Death.]

[What! am I too grown old? How days have hasted!]

[A mystic tracery of Stars]

[All things freely flow]

[O young Man! cast off cowardice]

[I hear the hum of earth, alive and merry]
