Written Extempore On a young Lady in Mourning.
In sable can your charms, sweet fair,With wonted lustre shine?
Yes; angel like, whate'er you wear,
You still appear divine:
Thus vapours round the sun unite,
And clouds in black array;
But through he darts o'erpow'ring light,
And gives unrival'd day.
