Through might and grace of Goddës sond,
To save the lost of every lond,

Right as the sun shone thro the glass
Jesu Christ conceivëd was,

Of Mary mother, full of grace;

Now is fulfilled the prophecy
Of David and of Jeremy,
And also of Isaie,

Sing we therefore both loud and high:

Simeon on his armës right
Clippëd Jesu full of might
And said unto that barne so bright,

I see my Savïour in sight;

Lord, thou set thy servant in peace,

All ourë joyës to increase
