What tyþyngis bryngst vs, messangere,
Of Cristis borþ þis new eris day?
A Babe is borne of hye natewre,
A Prynce of pese þat euer schal be;
Off heuen and erþe he haþ þe cewre;
Hys lordchip is eternete.

Seche wonder tyþyngis ȝe may here.
What tyþyngis bryngis þe, messangere?
Þat God and mon is hon in-fere.
Hour syn had mad bot fyndis pray.
A semle selcouþ hit is to se.
Þe burd þat had þis Barne i-borne,
Þis Child conseyuyd in he degre,
And maydyn is as was beforne.
Seche wonder tydyngus ȝe mow here,
Þat maydon and modur ys won y-fere,
And lady ys of hye aray.
A wonder þyng is now befall.
Þat Lord þat mad boþ se and sun,
Heuen and erþ, and angelis al,
In monkynde ys now becumme.
What tydyngus bryng[is] vt supra.
A faunt þat is bot of on ȝere,
Euer as ben and schal be ay.
What tyþyngis bryngis þou vt supra.
Þise louele lade con grete her Chylde,
‘Hayle! Sun, haile! Broder, haile! Fader dere!’
‘Haile! doȝter, haile! suster, haile! moder myld!’
Þis haylsyng was on coynt manere.
Seche wo[n]der tyþyngis vt supra.
Þis gretyng was of so[c]he chere,
Þat mans pyne hit turnyd to play.

Is mon becum fore mons loue;
Fore with His blood he schul be boȝt,
From bale to blys þat is aboue.

Þat Lord vs grawnt now our prayoure,
To twel in heuen þat we may.
