Of one Vrbina a Virgin vestall, taken in adulterye.

Vrbina a Uirgin vestall in adultery being taken,
With roddes about the cittie was whipped therefore,
And of all her friendes then being forsaken,
Was buried aliue, whome none did deplore,
And of the Adulterers that did her deflower,
The one did slay himselfe that present hower,
The other the ouerseeers of the temple then,
Caused to be executed in the market place,
That he might be a warning to all other men,
To teach them the path of vertue to trace.
