Emblem. 74. Ad Deum ne accedas imparatus.
The Translation.
Moses did bid the people wash
Their garments heere,
Before God that they might not rash,
But preparde appeare:
Vnwasht who be can not God see,
Without sinne
In hart accepted more is hee,
That's cleane within.
We then are taught alwaies to pray,
With humble minde,
With trembling to prepare a way,
Grace so to finde.
