USE OF THE TITLE "RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR"

The President explained that on June 7, 1963, the Board of Visitors established the titles "Research Professor" and "Research Associate Professor" as faculty positions customarily funded from sponsored research funds.

On the recommendation of the President the following resolution was adopted;

RESOLVED by the Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that there be established the position of "Research Assistant Professor," which will customarily be funded from sponsored research funds, with duties to be prescribed by the appropriate dean.
