LEAVES OF ABSENCE

The following resolution was adopted:

  • RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members of Mary Washington College be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
  • Mr. Bulent I. Atalay, Associate Professor of Physics, and Chairman of the Department, for one year, effective August 16, 1972, with half pay, to do research at Oxford University in England.
  • Mr. Michael L. Bass, Instructor in Biology, for one year, effective August 16, 1972, with half pay, to pursue graduate study at a school not yet determined.
  • Mrs. Janet Bonyhard, Assistant Professor of Philosophy, for the first semester of the 1972-73 session, effective August 16, 1972, with half pay, to do research at the University of London in England.
  • Miss Constance A. Jones, Instructor in Sociology, for one year, effective August 16, 1972, without pay, to pursue graduate study at Emory University.
  • Mr. John L. Lamph, Assistant Professor of Art, for the first semester of the 1972-73 session, with half pay, effective August 16, 1972, to study in Paris by appointment to the University Center's Paris Atelier.
